THANKFUL FOR THE LITTLE THINGS
by Sherry Brian
I'm thankful for the little things
that touch my life today...
The smell of turkey roasting,
The little ones at play..
I'm thankful for our morning walk,
Where the brisk air kissed our face
And how our spirits are renewed
In this beautiful, sacred place.
I'm thankful for the snow that fell
And sparkled in the light,
And for our children's safety
As they traveled through the night.
I'm thankful for our trials this year
They've brought both joys and tears
I'm thankful for Pat's health today
We have His listening ear.
I'm thankful for Sandy and Allan,
Always the gracious hosts
For bringing us all together
With those we love the most.
As I close this poem of Thanksgiving,
May the Giver from above,
Bless us all through these troubling times,
With hope and peace and love.
